Wine for Fun: New World Wine Tasting by a Chilean wine educator!

  • datum:17/10
  • tijd:19:00 – 21:30
  • adres:Nassau Odijckstraat 42, Den Haag

Catalina Bertoglio, a wine educator who has a passion to share the love of wine and food now dedicates her time helping wine lovers learn in a relaxing snob-free atmosphere how to choose wines with confidence.
In Chile, her birthplace, she had her first contact with wine while studying hotel management. It was there where her journey started on this one-way road towards the pleasures of food and wine.

While spending her time in Berlin and London she got to taste the best wine drops produced around the globe. On this long road towards the pleasures of wine, she undertook several courses about the subject at prestigious wine institutions like Wines & Spirits Education Trust, Deutsches Weininstitut (German Wine Institute), Bordeaux Ecole du Vin. She visited uncounted tastings and exhibitions in different countries and traveled with an explorer’s enthusiasm several wine routes in Australia, South America, South Africa, and Europe to resume those exciting times in: learning, tastings, wine sessions and interesting people.

After coming across the sizeable expat community in The Netherlands, hungry and thirsty for wine and food, but with a desire to have it explained in English… In 2007 she started Wine for Fun, a tasting company that offered the wine experience with no sales pitch and with the firm intention to provide “non- snob” fun for the senses.
