Mexican economy in an Evolving World: Historic Aspects and Recent Developments

Mexican economy has been evolving profoundly since the early 80s when it was closed and inward-looking and our export sector was almost limited to oil. Nowadays, Mexico is a very open economy with a network of 12 Free Trade Agreements distributed in most of the continents. However, some recent events in U.S. politics represent a serious challenge for our trade and development policies.
