LLECA’s Summer Fundraiser Festival

On the magic date of Friday the Thirteenth Amsterdam-based Latin crossover band HUMANOS MÁGICOS will be playing at LLECA’s Managua Blues Summer Fundraiser Festival 2012. Lleca Teatro is an independent Nicaraguan-Dutch theater organization that makes theater in the prisons of Nicaragua with long-sentenced inmates.

The night will start at 18.00 with delicious hot Mexican quesadillas cooked straight out of the Dokhuis kitchen by the LLECA team. Lots of guacamole, pico de gallo, queso & frijoles guaranteed. We’ll have them all through the night or till we run out.

Mexantillian trio Nueva Tradición will make a one-time appearance singing narcocorridos. You heard that right, narco-corridos! Keep your guns holstered please, we’ll call the tequila shots. Imagine accordeons & mustaches in an absolute special because this type of music has never before been sang in Amsterdam. They’ll start at 19.30 with mariachi picante covers from Los Tigres del Norte and other famous Mexican (narco)norteños.

The Humanos Magicos magic will start at 21.30. One of Amsterdam’s best mezcolanza bands with members of SON5 & Fantástica. Put on your best dancing shoes and get ready to mash up rock with trumpets and conga’s.

The night will be brought to a party climax by a great DJ bringing you redhot beats & mellow Latin flavor. We’ll be jumping through the night and serving sense-staggering cocktails.
